Storm Form is an exploration in
image-based generative voxel modeling
through multi-material 3D printing.
The objects depict storm data over a 24-hour
period within cerain cities. Each frame of
storm data is then interpolated within a cubic
boundary to create a temporal object that allows
for a more spatial reading of climate data
The combination of generative model and
multi-material 3D printing offer us ways to
consider new methods of data visualization
that are not constrained to our two-dimensional
screens, but inhabit the world just as we do
